Making Progress on A Client Project - Part Three

April 28, 2015 | Comment | Blog Archive

Now that the weather has improved, one of our largest projects this year is moving along quickly. We broke ground on a major project that will add a screened porch, a two-level patio with a grill station, a stepping stone path, retaining wall, and nearly 200 new trees, bushes, and perennials to a home in Northern Virginia. Our dedicated crews were able to frame out the porch and pour concrete for the two patios in January and we shared some pictures of our progress. Things slowed down a bit during the snows of March, but our stonemasons dug the footing, laid the rebar and poured the concrete that month as seen in the photos in this post.

This month, the Land Art stonemasons, iron workers and carpenters have been plying their trades, adding field stone to the patio steps and large retaining wall, beadboard to the screened porch, wrought iron to the patio. As you can see from these pictures, the landscape crew is getting ready to begin planting trees, bushes, and perennials. It's going to be a beautiful summer at this house!
